Verse:
“Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts find rest.” (Surah Ar-Ra‘d, 13:28)
Selected Tafsir:
Ibn Kathir explains that nothing brings tranquility to the heart like the remembrance of Allah.
When a believer frequently engages in dhikr, he draws closer to his Lord and finds peace and comfort within.
Dhikr includes glorifying Allah (tasbeeh), praising Him (tahmeed), declaring His Oneness (tahleel), seeking forgiveness (istighfaar), and reciting the Qur’an.
This verse reminds us of the power of dhikr — the remembrance that fills hearts with peace and draws believers near to their Lord.

Question: Is it better to make dhikr silently or aloud?
Answer: Both are permissible. Dhikr done silently is often better for sincerity and humility, but raising the voice moderately at times is also Sunnah, especially after obligatory prayers, as reported in Sahih Muslim.
Both silent and audible remembrance manifest the power of dhikr in a believer’s life.
