The power of charity transforms hearts before it changes hands.
It’s not the size of what we give, but the sincerity behind it that brings reward, peace, and protection from hardship.
Every act of giving — whether wealth, time, or kindness — becomes light in this world and the next.
Verse:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed which grows seven ears; in every ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261)
Tafsir Insight:
Ibn Kathir explains that this verse illustrates Allah’s immense reward for charity — one good deed multiplied seven hundred times or more for those who give sincerely for His sake, without seeking praise or causing harm.

Question: Which is better: voluntary charity or obligatory zakah?

Whoever fulfills zakah and continues to give sadaqah is rewarded doubly, but one cannot neglect zakah and rely on voluntary giving alone.

This ruling teaches us the power of charity as both duty and devotion — a means to purify wealth and strengthen faith.
Make giving a daily habit — even the smallest act counts.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Protect yourself from Hellfire, even with half a date.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 1417)
Keep a charity jar or digital wallet where you give a little each day.
Consistency reveals the power of charity more than the amount — because Allah multiplies sincerity, not numbers.
If you could give one form of charity today — wealth, knowledge, or even a smile — what would it be?
Take a moment to think how the power of charity can become part of your daily life and connection with Allah.
