The virtue of saying there is no god but Allah
One of the greatest forms of remembrance is the remembrance of “There is no god but God” because it is in itself a glorification of God, sanctification of Him, and unification of Him as Lord...
A structured weekly Islamic newsletter to strengthen your faith through authentic knowledge.

In Steps to Allah: A Weekly Journey of Spiritual Growth, every believer walks a unique path toward Allah — but the most beautiful step is simply the one taken with sincerity.
This week’s reminder invites your heart to pause, reflect, and rise.

Reflection:
Allah invites us to remember Him constantly —
with the heart present, not with perfect words.
Scholars say dhikr nourishes the heart the way food nourishes the body.
Even one sincere “SubhanAllah” can brighten your path to Allah.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The most beloved deeds to Allah are the most consistent ones, even if they are small.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

This hadith teaches a gentle truth:
Allah values consistency more than size.
A small daily step becomes a mountain on the Day of Judgment.
Question:
Is a small but consistent act better than many irregular acts?
Answer:
Yes. Scholars agree that regularity is superior.
Ibn Hajar explains in Fath al-Bari:
“A little act done consistently is better than a large act done occasionally.”

Even two raka‘ahs, one page of Qur’an, or a short dhikr —
when performed consistently — bring barakah and spiritual growth.
Choose one simple act to do daily for 7 days:

Small steps build habits.
Habits build light.
Light builds your path to Allah.
If Allah allowed you to improve one act of worship this week,
which one would you choose — and why?
Writing it down turns reflection into intention.
