The power of voluntary fasting is a secret doorway to spiritual strength — a discipline that purifies the heart, elevates the soul, and draws us closer to Allah with every hunger we endure.
It’s a worship that teaches patience, renews gratitude, softens the heart, and fills our days with quiet devotion and clarity.

1. 📖 Qur’anic Verse & Tafsir

Verse:
“And fast, it is better for you, if you only knew.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:184)

Selected Tafsir:

Ibn Kathīr explains that this verse was originally revealed regarding the option between paying a fidyah or fasting. Later, that ruling was abrogated, but its meaning remains: fasting carries great goodness — it disciplines the soul, strengthens the body, and brings a reward from Allah that is beyond measure.
