The Language of Paradise is the language of revelation, connection, and worship.
Through Arabic, we understand the Qur’an, experience the beauty of du‘a, and unlock the meanings that guide our hearts toward Allah.

🌿 1. Qur’anic Verse & Tafsir

Verse:

وَقُلْ رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
(Surah Taha, 20:114)

Tafsir Insight:
According to Ibn Kathir, this verse is a divine instruction to the Prophet ﷺ — a du‘a asking Allah to bless him with ever-increasing beneficial knowledge.
It teaches that the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong journey and that Arabic, as the Language of Paradise, is the key to understanding Allah’s words.

🌸 2. Prophetic Hadith on the Language of Paradise (Sahih)

“The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith No. 5027)

This hadith highlights that learning the Qur’an — and by extension, its language — is among the most honored acts of worship.
Every effort to study Arabic is a step closer to the words of Allah and the wisdom of His Messenger ﷺ.

⚖️ 3. Islamic Ruling (Fatwa Insight)

Question:

Is learning Arabic obligatory for Muslims?

Answer:
Learning Arabic is a communal obligation (fard kifayah) for the Muslim Ummah and an individual duty to the extent needed for prayer and Qur’an recitation.
The more a Muslim learns, the deeper their connection becomes with the Qur’an and the Sunnah — both revealed in the Language of Paradise.

🌤 4. Practical Reflection

Start today with a simple step:
Memorize the du‘a “Rabbi zidni ‘ilma”My Lord, increase me in knowledge.
Then, learn the meaning and tafsir of one Arabic word from the Qur’an every day.
